Debbie Wert

Debbie Wert

Debbie Jean Wert was born in Michigan to Roland and Florence Ray on March 26, 1958. She passed away in Lone Tree, Colorado on June 30th. She was 61 years old. Debbie graduated from Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois. She went on to obtain a technicians degree and started as a mammography and xray technician, ending her career in Colorado with Invision. She was a long time member of Denver First Church of The Nazarene. Debbie was a bright light in the lives of many. She was outgoing, and never met a stranger. She enjoyed shopping at farmers markets, travelling to Paris, Rome, London, San Diego, California, and the Pacific North West, cooking and making sure you ate, even if you weren't hungry, and being a positive, kind, and patient person. She had a great sense of humor. Debbie met Jim Wert and they were married at Mt. Oliver Lutheran Church in Aurora 22 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Jim; her mother, Florence; children, Kristin (Sean), Laura (Randall), Matthew, and her fur baby, Chloe; granddaughter, Riley; and sister, Carol (Dan), as well as, many other friends and family members. A Celebration of Debbie's life was held at Denver First Church of The Nazarene on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00am in the Diehl Chapel.
