Kristine Ann (Lardie) Padilla, 54 years old, Brighton, CO, woke up to see Jesus in Heaven on June 10th, 2020. She fought hard against ovarian cancer for 6 years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends, who are thankful for the time she had on earth.

Born April 20, 1966, in Anchorage, AK, to Kenneth T. Lardie and Eline (Wall) Lardie. She was the middle of 3 daughters and the light in her father’s eye! Kristine met her husband, John Padilla, later in life and they were married on September 6th, 2014. He was the second love of her life, the first love being Jesus. Together they served the Lord in many ways and promoted ovarian cancer awareness.

Kristine is survived by her husband John, bonus daughter Kelsey Robles (Brian), her mom Eline, two sisters, AnnaMarie Walraven (David) and Marianne Bilbrey (Robert Jr.); niece, Leah Langford (Matthew), nephews, Samuel Walraven, Andrew Balduff (Sarah), step-niece, Christina Bilbrey and step-nephew, Andrew Bilbrey; step-great-nephew Shjon Langford, great-nephews Dean Langford and Uriah Langford. She is also survived by her grandfather, Ronald Hair and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth T. Lardie, her grandparents, Ernest N. Wall, Bernice (Tomlinson) Wall and Margaret (Broda) Hair.

Kristine’s relationship with Jesus Christ was especially important to her. She lived out her life serving Him in so many ways. Her time at Flatirons Church and serving there was something she talked about fondly. Her church family was so special to her. She had many talents, including signing worship music for the deaf for several churches, singing with the Sweet Adeline’s Denver Group, Skyline Chorus, for several years, among other talents. She loved her family and there will be a hole where she was for all of them, but they know they will see her again in eternity!

Kristine earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing in Colorado Springs, then later received her Masters in Wound Care Nursing. She started her nursing career in Fort Morgan, CO, moving on to Scottsbluff, NE, then Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO; she also worked for Swedish Medical Center and Porter Adventist Hospitals in the Denver area; and lastly at St. Anthony North, working until a month before she died. She will be missed by so many coworkers and the patients she served so well. She was a warrior and a fighter. We know that when she entered heaven it was to these words: “WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.”

A small service will take place with family and a few close friends at Fort Logan National Cemetery due to COVID-19.
