State Income Tax Check-off - Line 37

The Colorado Breast & Women's Reproductive Cancers (BWRC) Check-off Fund

see: www.coloradocancercheckoff.org

The Colorado Breast & Women's Reproductive Cancers (BWRC) Check-off Fund is a voluntary check-off program on line 37 of the Colorado Income Tax form.

The BWRC Fund aims to increase survival, improve early detection, reduce suffering, and improve the quality of life for Coloradans affected by these diseases. The BWRC Fund complements, and does not duplicate, vital cancer services throughout Colorado.  Grants are awarded to partnering organizations to provide assistance to individuals who do not qualify for existing programs yet still need help.

Think $1 won't make a difference?

Every dollar, every life, makes a difference.

If half of Colorado taxpayers donated $1, we could generate approximately $1.5 million to assist the nearly 3,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer and the 1,000 women diagnosed with reproductive cancers every year in our state. Many of these Coloradans will not qualify for existing services. They need your help.

Already filed your Colorado income taxes? It's not too late to help fellow Coloradans by contributing a tax-deductible donation to the BWRC Fund.

COCA has been a direct grant recipient of BRWC funds.

How You Can Help

1) Check-off a Gift on Line 37 of the Colorado Income Tax form
Remember, every dollar, every life, makes a difference.  Your generous donation of any size helps fund grants to reduce mortality, suffering, and improve the quality of life of Coloradans affected by breast, ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal, endometrial, and vulvar cancers. Learn more about our grants program.

2) You can give to the BWRC Fund at any time by sending a tax-deductible donation to:

The BWRC Fund
C/O The Colorado Cancer Coalition
9457 S. University Blvd. #513
Highlands Ranch, CO  80126

3) Spread Awareness
Help create more awareness about the BWRC Fund. When more people check-off a donation, we can provide more grants to save, and improve, more lives. Contact us to volunteer to distribute postcards about the program.

4) Talk to your Tax Preparer about the BWRC Fund
Let them know we exist, and why, and ensure they talk to their clients about the importance of check-off programs.

5) Take Care of Yourself!

Lucy, former Executive Director of the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA), was initially misdiagnosed as having a bladder infection.  She advocated herself because she was educated about the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Do you know the signs and symptoms of ovarian and other reproductive cancers?
