COCA Educational Programs

Promote Early Detection

  • Educating women at large
  • Educating women and families at risk
  • Educating health care providers

COCA wants to raise public awareness of ovarian cancer by educating doctors, health care providers and the public. Ovarian cancer is difficult to diagnose because signs and symptoms are usually vague and subtle and or often confused with other forms of disease such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

We encourage women to be aware of the signs because early detection is the key to saving lives. Our goal is to empower women to take charge of their health and be advocates for their medical care. Our mission is to provide women with the knowledge they need in order to make better-informed health decisions - decisions that could save their lives.
