Survivor's Network
It is COCA's mission to provide support for ovarian cancer survivors and caregivers, and does so through
"Nicki's Circle" support groups. Nicki's Circle was was established and continues to expand because one woman, Nicki S., cared enough to provide a financial base for a gathering of women needing support after receiving the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Nicki wanted to share her journey and ensure that others received the same support and caring that she had from her fellow survivors.
Since 2005, "Nicki's Circle" Ovarian Cancer Support Groups have served women monthly around the Denver metro area. The groups are open to anyone who has battled this disease. At meetings, information is exchanged about ovarian cancer, current medical research and how women can effectively advocate for obtaining the best health care possible. We also have the time and place to share the emotional ups and downs of this disease.
In addition, we now have Nicki's Circle Caregivers Group, for loved ones and friends of women managing ovarian cancer; the Saturday Wellness Series, featuring monthly wellness topics and presentations; and finally Nicki's Circle Network, a social media site where you can keep in touch with other survivors and caregivers from Nicki's Circle.
