BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 Gene Testing

You may want to find out if you are carrying the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene, a genetic marker that can indicate a higher risk of breast and/or ovarian cancer. If you have been diagnosed with either and carry the gene, the risk factor is raised for your daughters and granddaughters. The gene can also be carried and passed on by male members of the family.
