COCA will march to the colorado state capitol!!
National Teal Day - September 5th, 2008
We will gather at 11:30 a.m. on the sidewalk at the west end of Civic Center Park and continue our walk on the sidewalks around the two sides of park. Our emcee Bertha Lynn, anchorwoman of 7NEWS, will begin to speak at 12:30 a.m. Also, joining us to speak will be Susan Davidson, M.D., associate professor and section chief of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. Governor Bill Ritter and Lt. Governor Barbara O'Brienhave been invited. COCA Vice President Nana Zeligman will speak as a survivor.
Please help us to promote this event! COCA will look forward to seeing all of you there on September 5th to join in our effort to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and it symptoms. Teal is the color!
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. It is the time when attention is focused on the ovarian cancer community to increase understanding about the disease. During September, the ovarian cancer community also honors the survivors and victims of the disease as well as their families and friends.
