    Daily Resource: Day 29

    Caregiver.com

Caregivers of ovarian cancer survivors need support too. It is generally understood that the job of caring for someone who is dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be emotionally difficult and stressful. It is important for caregivers to connect with others and learn healthy ways to manage their situation. Caregiver.com is an online resource that can provide daily inspiration through their website, online newsletter and print magazine.

In addition, CancerCare in New York provides online and telephone support groups for caregivers, including a group for young adult caregivers (ages 20-39).

    Daily Resource: Day 28

    Pathways Palliative Care

Pathways Palliative Care provides care that focuses on comfort rather than treatment. The word "palliative" means to relieve or soothe, and palliative care generally addresses pain management, reduction of symptoms, sleep, diet, constipation, and overall quality of life. Although Pathways Palliative Care is associated with Denver Hospice, it is not hospice care. You can be in treatment and receive palliative care. Check with Pathways about getting a referral from your doctor. Their services are excellent and are generally covered by insurance.
