The Center for Disease Control of the Dept of Health and Human Services, U.S. Government, has an ongoing initiative to investigate ovarian cancer.

Johanna's Law
The Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act (P.L. 109-475). This initiative was signed into law in early 2007 by the 109th Congress; the financial appropriations bill is currently awaiting signature of the President.
