Support: Nurture and support others through caring connections
COCA wants to provide support for ovarian cancer survivors and caregivers, and does so through "Nicki's Circle" support groups. The original support group was able to contintue and expand because one woman cared enough to provide a financial base for the gathering of women who need support after receiving a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Nicki wanted to share the journey and ensure that others received the same support and caring that she had from fellow surivors.
"Nicki's Circle" Ovarian Cancer Support Groups meet monthly around the Denver metro area and are open to anyone who has battled this disease. At meetings, we exchange information about ovarian cancer, current medical research and how women can effectively advocate for obtaining he best health care possible. We also have the time and place to share the emotional ups and downs of this disease.
